Environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG)

Environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) metrics have developed as imperative factors that reflect companies’ ability to execute effective strategies and generate added value. Market structures are leading the integration of sustainability within the mainstream work channels, enhance transparency and encourage sustainable investment practices.

Companies are now placing sustainability and long-term value creation high on their agenda and deploy metrics to evaluate their performance and to assess their ability to prepare for potential future risks and opportunities.

ESC metrics is a dynamic tool that assists businesses into the understanding of long-term readiness in mitigating risks and uncover opportunities. Thinking and acting on ESG in a proactive way, has lately become even more pressing and demanding.

Today’s investment on ESG orientation, experiences an enormous rise with a global sustainable investment that exceeds $30 trillion.

This amazing achievement has been driven by investors and executives who realize that a strong ESG proposition can safeguard a company’s long-term success. This is further encouraged by the ongoing social, government and consumer attention on the broader impact of corporations.

Companies paying attention to environmental, social, and governance concerns, can more easily turn ideas into solutions which add value to customers and premium equity returns to the shareholders. And this is what we encourage.

The DASO Model

Our model consists of a set of performance indicators (KPIs) that determine business behavior and are used by potential investors focusing on socially responsible investments.

Environmental criteria examine the way and methodology of how the business manages the effects of climate change and its activity on the natural environment.

Social criteria examine how the business manages its relationships with employees, associates, suppliers, customers and the communities in which it operates.

Governance criteria relate to a system of rules, values, ethics, practices and procedures by which the business is run and operated.

What we do

We focus on problem understanding, corrective actions deployment, implementation gaps identification and we operate on a 4-steps process:

  1. We run a comprehensive health-check of the business, through our Business Diagnostics We thoroughly explore the culture to strategy gap, evaluate business needs, symptoms and pathogeneses, assess underlying conditions and prioritize corrective actions on Social & Governance concerns.
  2. We then run an ECO Audit and we evaluate the environmental and energy management status for all business operations. We focus on sustainable management, production optimization, pollutants reduction and waste management across the spectrum of corporate operations. We determine the level of operation of the environmental management systems, deviations from standards, possible gaps in the operating system and a Corrective Actions Plan.
  3. We develop a Change Management Platform and align ESG Concerns with Actions Plans. We redesign the operating model and restructure processes, tactics, policies and procedures to strengthen company’s competitiveness and ensure trust, confidence, security and reliability of the business.
  4. We deliver Objectives, Targets to be attained, Implementation Methodology, KPIs and Accountability Models.
